Space and Privacy
Life on a boat means sharing cozy spaces. Each couple or single guest has a private twin cabin, but shared areas like the saloon and deck require mutual respect. Keep noise to a minimum and be mindful of others’ need for quiet and privacy, especially during reflective times.
If you choose to stay on board during free time, please note that 1:1 sessions may take place in certain areas. It’s essential to maintain a calm and quiet environment during these sessions to respect the process. Organize everything you’ll need for activities in advance to avoid frequent trips back and forth to your cabin.
What to Expect
Living on a boat offers a unique and rewarding experience, giving you the chance to connect deeply with nature and embrace a simpler, more mindful way of living. While our catamaran has been thoughtfully upgraded to enhance comfort and sustainability, it’s important to note that life at sea is different from life on land. Some adjustments may be needed to fully enjoy the rhythm of life aboard, including flexibility, presence, and a willingness to let go of certain habits or expectations. We invite you to lean into this simplicity and allow it to support your journey inward.
Life On Board
Mobility and Unique Sensations
One of the joys of life on a boat is its mobility – waking up in a new, breathtaking location each day, while your comfortable cabin remains your constant haven. No need to pack and unpack your suitcase; your home travels with you.
Living on the water comes with its unique sensations. The gentle rocking of the waves, the sound of water lapping against the hull, the creaking of the lines, and the wind whispering through the masts – all of these elements become part of the natural rhythm of life at sea.
They invite you to slow down, become more present, and feel deeply connected to your environment.
For many, these are soothing and grounding sensations that foster a deep connection to nature. For others, it may take a little time to adjust to the constant motion and unfamiliar sounds. To help you ease into this experience, we provide earplugs on board, allowing for a peaceful night’s rest while you adapt to the rhythm of life at sea.
Weather and Safety
At Body, Mind & Sail, your safety and comfort are always our priorities. In dangerous weather, we will remain safely in port or a safe anchorage and not set sail.
If the weather is uncomfortable but not unsafe, we’ll discuss options with the group to decide whether to venture out or stay in the Harbour. While this may occasionally disrupt the schedule, we’ll create alternative routes or activities. In rare cases, this could involve arranging transportation, such as a bus, ferry, or taxi – to ensure you reach your destination or the airport safely.
On calmer days with no wind, we can continue the journey by using the motor, ensuring we stay on course while enjoying the tranquility of the sea.
Seasickness & Remedies
Our catamaran offers a stable and gentle ride — much smoother than a monohull. We avoid bad weather when we can, and our sailing area is known for calm waters and mild conditions.
For those sensitive to motion, we offer a range of natural options: ginger (fresh or in tablet form), peppermint oil, and acupressure wristbands that stimulate supportive pressure points. Breathwork techniques can also ease the nervous system and reduce queasiness. Fresh air and keeping your eyes on the horizon often do wonders.
We’re mindful with medication, but understand that sometimes it’s needed. If you’re prone to seasickness, feel free to bring something like meclizine or dimenhydrinate as backup. We’ll keep you informed with daily weather updates, so you can prepare if movement is expected. Most guests adjust quickly and soon find themselves at ease — gently rocked by the rhythm of the sea.
Upgrades for Comfort and Sustainability
Our boat has been upgraded with solar panels, a watermaker, high-capacity batteries, and energy-efficient air conditioning units – allowing us to live off-grid for extended periods. These improvements reduce our reliance on the generator, helping to minimise noise and pollution while still offering you modern-day comforts.
We’re continuously working on refinements to make the experience even smoother — always with care for the environment and our guests in mind.
Water, Energy & Air Conditioning
Our catamaran is equipped for off-grid living, with solar panels, high-capacity batteries, a watermaker, and four energy-efficient air conditioning units — offering comfort with a light environmental footprint.
When docked, we refill our freshwater tanks as needed. At sea, our watermaker helps us stay self-sufficient, but it requires significant energy. That’s why we ask you to use water mindfully — keep showers short and turn off taps when not in use.
While our solar system covers most of our daily energy needs, we encourage thoughtful use of power. Air conditioning, for example, is available but works best (and most efficiently) when set to 24°C or higher, especially at night. Pairing it with a fan keeps your cabin cool without overloading the system.
Together, these small acts of awareness allow us to live more sustainably — and stay comfortable — in harmony with the elements.
Pump Toilets
The pump-operated toilets on board work differently from land-based systems. Please do not flush any paper, wipes, or other materials to avoid blockages. A dedicated bin is provided for these items, and we’ll guide you on how to use the toilets upon arrival. (video)

Our Sailing Catamaran
Welcome aboard our 2006 Fountaine Pajot Bahia 46 — a true sailor’s catamaran. Built for performance, not just comfort, she glides smoothly through the water with grace and ease
With 4 spacious double cabins — each with air conditioning and a private bathroom — and 3 additional crew bunks, she offers plenty of space for rest and retreat. The open salon seats 10 and flows into a fully equipped U-shaped galley with induction cooking, combi oven, large fridge, and triple water system: fresh, seawater, and filtered drinking water.
Outside, you’ll find a large shaded cockpit with a round seating area and dining table, dual swim platforms with showers, and a wide front deck with double trampoline — perfect for sunbathing or spotting dolphins.
Sail setup includes a square-top mainsail, roller genoa, gennaker, and spinnaker. Equipped with autopilot, plotter, and modern navigation gear. Energy comes from solar panels, a generator, and powerful lithium battery banks — enough to run the 48V air conditioning at night without noise.
This boat isn’t just a floating home — it’s a sailing sanctuary.
